What we actually do all day in Johns Creek

Mostly pines, and mostly the same conversation. Somebody noticed a lean, or a limb came down on the drive, and they want to know whether the tree is a problem and what the city will let them do about it. So the job usually starts with two answers rather than a quote: is this tree actually failing, and does it sit inside a protected zone. Get those wrong and you either pay to remove something that was fine, or you clear a buffer and collect a stop-work order. From there we remove, trim, grind stumps, clear lots and handle storm work.

  • Locally owned and run

How we work

Four things we hold to

There is no state licence for tree work in Georgia. A House study committee recommended creating one in December 2024 and nothing has followed, which means anybody with a truck and a saw can call themselves a tree company here. We are not going to print a badge we did not earn.

We say what we are not

No licence claim, because Georgia issues none for tree work. No badges we did not earn.

The price is written down

Measured on site and put on paper. It does not move unless you change the scope.

We follow the standards anyway

ANSI A300 for the cuts, Z133 for the safety. Voluntary in Georgia. Used here regardless.

We will talk you out of work

If pruning solves it, we quote pruning. If nothing needs doing, we say nothing needs doing.

The city we work in

Johns Creek incorporated in December 2006 and covers about 31 square miles of north Fulton County, bounded on its southern side by the Chattahoochee River. Around 82,000 people live here across roughly 30,500 homes, four in five of them owner-occupied.

Most of the housing went up from the 1980s onward, which matters more for trees than it sounds. The pines left standing when these subdivisions were cut into the Piedmont woods are now 30 to 45 years old and tall enough to reach a roof. Young houses, mature trees.

What you get

A written price

Scope, method and cost on paper before anything is cut. No verbal numbers.

Debris removed

Chipped and hauled. Burning is illegal in Fulton County from May through September.

The zone checked

Specimen status, buffers and River Corridor confirmed against the current city guidelines.

No pressure

We do not knock on doors after storms and we do not ask anyone to sign on the spot.
